Introduction: Practicing What I Preach (Most of the Time)
Right now, as I’m writing this, I’m holed up in a hotel room in San Jose, California β working another weekend away from home.
Shift work, travel, odd hours β that’s been the story of my life for over 45 years as a police officer, paramedic/firefighter, and physician assistant.
If there’s a mistake you can make in health and wellness… trust me, I’ve probably made it at 3 a.m. with a stale cup of coffee in hand. π
But here’s the thing: π I’m not here to preach from some imaginary mountaintop of perfect health.
π I’m learning right alongside you β and doing my best to walk the walk (even if sometimes it’s more of a limp after leg day).
Over time, through experience (and a few hard lessons), I’ve come to believe that if you want to live a peak performance life, you have to start at the deepest level:
Biochemistry.
It comes before anatomy.
It shapes physiology.
It drives pathophysiology, microbiology, and pharmacology.
It literally powers every thought, breath, bite of food, and step you take.
That’s why I’m kicking things off with this first series:
“How Important is Biochemistry?”
Where We’re Going Next
After this series, I’ll be diving back into the clinical sciences with fresh eyes β applying them directly to real life through:
- Meditation and Breathwork
- Nutrition, Food, and Cooking
- Physical Therapy, Strength and Mobility
- Aromatherapy
- Supplements and Herbal Medicine
- Cellular Medicine [Clinical use of Peptides]
- Conventional Pharmacology
- Emergency Medicine, Surgery and Critical Care
I’ll be studying, experimenting on myself (responsibly, I promise), continuing my practice as a Paramedic and Physician Assistant and sharing it all here β to give you tools you can use in your own life.
My Commitment to You
Over the next indeterminate stretch of time β as long as it takes β I’ll be learning, applying, and sharing methods for leveraging biochemistry to live stronger, sharper, and healthier lives.
Together, we’ll explore how thoughts, breathing, food, supplements, natural remedies, fitness, and exercise all work at the biochemical level to create lasting peak performance.
It’s not about chasing perfection.
It’s about understanding how our incredible bodies actually work β and using that knowledge to live better, every single day.
An Open Invitation to You
This isn’t a lecture.
It’s a conversation β and I want you in it.
Comment, ask questions, share your experiences.
Peak health and peak performance aren’t “one-size-fits-all.”
They’re personal. They’re a journey.
My ultimate dream β my Massively Transformative Purpose β is to transition from my current work life into full-time coaching, building content, community, and coaching to help as many people as possible live their best, strongest, healthiest lives.
Think of this as the beginning of a new mission β
One based not just on what I’ve learned in 45 years of service, but on what we can still learn together.
Let’s make the second half of life the best half.
Ready?
Let’s roll.
What are your thoughts?
I’d love to hear from you in the comments!
Your questions, experiences, and ideas will help shape this growing community as we all work toward Peak Health and Peak Performance β together.
